Thayir Kuzhambu Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu Recipe Ingredients
  • Vendakkai – 10
  • Curd – 1cup
  • Turmeric powder - 1 cup
  • Asafetida – a pinch
  • Coriander leaves – little

  • Thoor Dal – 1tsp
  • Raw tice – 1tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1tsp
  • Ginger – small piece
  • Grated coconut – ½ cup
  • Green cillies – 2
Thayir Kuzhambu Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu Recipe Sautéing Ingredients

  • Mustard – 1tsp
  • Red chilli – 2
  • Urad Dal – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves – as required
Thayir Kuzhambu Vendakkai Mor Kuzhambu Recipe Preparation
  1. Cut ladies finger vendakkai in to small pieces.
  2. Take 1 cup of curd and add ½ cup of water and mix well
  3. Add salt, turmeric powder and Asafetida with curd.
  4. Take the grinding ingredients and soak in water for ½ an hour.
  5. Grind the soaked vendakkai mor kuzhambu recipe ingredients nicely.
  6. Take a pan pore some oil and add mustard, urad dal, curry leaves and red chillies.
  7. Then add ladies finger vendakkai and fry well for five minutes.
  8. Finally pour the curd mixture with the sautéing ingredients and mix well.
  9. Then garnish the thayir kuzhambu vendakkai mor kuzhambu with coriander leaves.
  10. This is the best side dish for rice.

  • Big onion – 1
  • Refined oil as required
  • Tamarind lemon sized
  • Curry leaves
  • Tomato - 2
  • Mustrad Seeds - ½ tsp
  • Urad Dal – 1/2tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds – 1/2tsp
  • Asafoetida – a pinch

Saravana Bhavan Kara Kuzhambu Recipe Grinding Ingredients
Fry the following Kathirikai Kara Kuzhambu Ingredients by adding 1tsp of oil.
  • Kadalai Paruppu – 1/2tsp
  • Coriander seeds -  1tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1tsp
  • Grated coconut - ½ cup
  • Sambar onion – 1/2cup
  • Sambar powder 2tsp
  • Tomato – 1
How to Prepare Saravana Bhavan Kara Kozhambu
  1. Cut a brinjal Kathirikai in to four slices, it should be joined at the centre.
  2. Grind all the fired Saravana Bhavan Kara Kuzhambu Recipe Grinding Ingredients.
  3.  Cut the big onion and tomatoes into small pieces 
  4. Take a thick bottomed frying pan, add oil and sauté mustard, and fenugreek seeds.
  5. Then add the curry leaves and onion fry well like golden brown in colour.
  6. Then add tomato slices sauté well for a minute in low flame.
  7. Now add the brinjal for Kathirikai Kara Kuzhambu and fry well, then add the tamarind juice.
  8. Now  add the ground masala paste for Kathirikai Kara Kuzhambu recipe.
  9. Add water and salt as per your requirement. Let the gravy to boil for 5 minutes.
  10. Now the tasty Saravana Bhavan Kara Kuzhambu is ready to taste.

Thatta Payir Kuzhambu Recipe

Delicious Thatta Payir Kuzhambu
Thatta payir kuzhambu is a typical Tamil nadu dish. I got this recipe form my grandmother, who is a kitchen queen. Thatta payir kathirikai kulambu is my favorite recipe. Thatta payir recipes are not only tasty but healthy too. The nutrients present in Thatta payir is protein. The delicious gravy prepared by using gram is a good side dish for rice and dosai.  If the gram is fresh you can use it as such or if it is dried soak for 3hours before use. Other delicious recipes prepared with cow pea are thatta payir curryand thatta payir red chori vadai.
Ingredients for Thatta Payir Kuzhambu Preparation
The ingredients needed for Thatta payir kulambu recipe are as follows.

  • 1 Cup small Onion
  • 1 Cup Thatta payir
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 5 Garlic 
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 3 Kathirikai
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seed
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin seed
  • Curry leaves
  • 1/2 Cup grated coconut
  • A pinch of Asafoetida powder
  • Oil as required
  • A pinch of Turmeric powder
  • 2tsp Sambar powder(home made)
  • 1.5tsp malli powder
  • 100ml Tamarind juice
  • Water as required
  • Salt as required
How to Prepare Thatta Payir Kuzhambu (Thatta payir kulambu)
1.    Take a cup of Thatta payir is also called Karamani, soak for an hour. It is fresh from the field, use as such.
2.    Cut onion and chillies into small pieces. Chop the tomatoes and crush the garlic. Cut the Brinjal into lengthwise pieces.
3.    Grind the grated coconut with fennel seeds like a fine paste.
4.    Add a cup of water and cook Thatta payir in the pressure cooker for 2 whistles. Drain the water seperatly.
5.    Take a pressure pan, heat oil and put mustard and cumin seeds, let it to splutter abd add the curry leaves.
6.    Add the chopped onion, green chillies, crushed garlic and tomatoes one by one, sauté well and add asafetida.
7.    Now add the Kathirikai (Brinjal) stir well by adding turmeric powder, sambar powder, malli powder and salt.
8.    Then add the tamarind juice and cooked Thatta payir. Mix well and boil for 5 minutes by closing a lid.
9.    Then add the ground coconut paste, add some water (Thatta payir pre cooked water)to adjust the consistency. Let it to boil for 5 minutes.
10. thatta payir kuzhambu recipe is ready to taste. Garnish with curry leaves and coriander leaves as per your wish.  
     11. Have thatta payir kuzhambu recipe with rice for you lunch. Take fried     potato or papad as side dish.
