Brahmin vatha kuzhambu Recipe Tamil 
This is the preparation of Brahmin vatha kuzhambu Recipe Tamil fresh sundakkai vathal kuzhambu. Brahmin Vathal kulambu recipe is prepared in two different styles one is vatha kuzhambu recipe iyer style and the other is vatha kuzhambu recipe iyengar preparation. People usually like to make brahmin vatha kuzhambu for its unique taste. You can prepare this recipe by using chundakkai alternatively you can use appalam. This is called vatha kuzhambu appalam recipe.  


Brahmin Style Vatha Kuzhambu recipe Ingredients
Onion – 1 cup
Appalam or sundakkai -  1/4 cup
Tomato – 1 chopped
Chilli powder – 1tsp
Coriander powder – 1tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Tamarind juice - 50ml
Urad dal – ½ tsp
Mustard – ½ tsp
Fenugreek powder – 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves –  little
Salt – as required
Sesame oil – as per taste


How to Prepare Sundakkai Brahmin Vatha Kuzhambu
  • Take a pan add little oil and fry Appalam or sundakkai into golden brown colour, keep it aside,
  • Then take a kadai, add sesame oil and sauté the mustard, curry leaves, urad dal,
  • Then add the onion, and tomatoes, fry until it mashed,
  • Then add the chilli, turmeric and coriander powder one by one,
  • Finally add the tamarind juice and salt, let to boil for ten minutes,
  • Now add the Appalam or sundakkai and let to boil for another five minutes,
  • Now add the fenugreek powder and 3tsp of sesame oil and close the lit
  • Delicious brahmin style vatha kuzhambu recipe is ready to taste.
